Blank Canvas is a celebration of longer-form new writing works in development, platforming new and underrepresented voices in the theatre scene. What happens when a wave I’m riding suddenly turns to crash into me? And that wave consists of spiraling, fighting lawyers? Help!

THURSDAY - 'Raindrops on a White Pear Blossom
"Chinese people has a saying describing crying woman. Li Hua Dai Yu. Raindrops on a white pear flower. I always wanted to have a girl like that. So soft, so protected. So beautiful."
It's the child's turn to play the mother. It's the mother's turn to play the rebel. When is it time let go?

FRIDAY - 'Elephant'
Adult is about to meet her 17 year old self and she's terrified. She hasn't done half the things her younger self thought she would by her age but there are two glaringly big issues: she's plus-sized and queer. Elephant explores our relationship with our bodies, who we expect to be, and who we won’t let ourselves be.
